Facebook eliminerà gli account che non risponderanno all'email, causa sovrapopolamento.

L'email viaggia attraverso le caselle di posta d'oltreoceano già da 1 anno. Ora è arrivata anche in Italia (ancora in lingua inglese), l'email che annuncia la chiusura degli account inattivi su Facebook. Anche in questo caso l'email non ha nessun fondamento di verità ma si tratta della solita catena di Sant'Antonio.

Ecco di seguito un'esempio del testo dell'email originale:

Attention all Facebook members.

Facebook is recently becoming very overpopulated, There have been many members complaining that Facebook is becoming very slow.Record shows that the reason is that there are too many non-active Facebook members And on the other side too many new Facebook members. L'avviso è rapidamente circolato attraverso la piattaforma di Facebook. Il messaggio oltre ad informare che gli account inattivi verranno eliminati, invita ad inviare il messaggio ai propri contatti per verificare se sono account attivi o meno. Il messaggio è assolutamente privo di senso e non deve essere inoltrato. Una piattaforma web sofisticata com'è facebook non ha bisogno di questi rudimentali meccanismi (come le catene) per sapere quali account sono dormienti.
